The Titan 4000 Hydroxyl Generator is an effective tool to remove odorous gasses and pollutants from the air. Unlike ozone generators or ozone machines, depending on the size of the area and concentration required, it may be safe to operate this machine while a building is occupied. This makes it an ideal machine for neutralising odours in night clubs, beauty parlours, daycare centres, nursing homes, clinical waiting areas, laboratories, theatres, event venues, fire and flood damaged areas and other spaces.
How It Works
This state-of-the-art system traps huge quantities of titanium dioxide by using a TiO2 photocatalytic lamp to send UV rays (365nm – 385nm) through an anatase-coated glass sleeve. Next, electron hole pairs form and react with water and oxygen in the air. This process produces free electrons and hydroxyl radicals that, when scattered through a room by the fan, decompose and convert air pollutants and organic and inorganic gases into carbon dioxide and water.
